The Brain Injury Network is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We firmly support the responsible management of consumer information. This statement sets forth our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Collection and Storage of Information
Brain Injury Network reserves the right to monitor and record access and other activity on the website. Collection and storage of information occurs several ways on the braininjurynetwork.org site.
We collect and store non-personally identifiable information about visits to this site. Non-personally identifiable information includes the Internet Service Provider used to connect to the Internet, the browser type, and the type of computer operating system used. This collective or aggregated data does not identify the visitor specifically. We maintain log files. In log files IP addresses are logged to track a user’s session while the user remains anonymous. We analyze this data for trends and statistics, such as which parts of our site users are visiting and how long they spend there. We also use this data to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. In general, we do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable to you.
We use several different forms where our customers can request services or information. In these cases we collect visitors’ contact information such as name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.
Use of Confidential and Non-Confidential Information
Brain Injury Network is the sole owner of the information we collect on this site. We will not rent, sell, or share information collected and stored in our databases with third parties in ways other than those disclosed in this policy.

We may also use your Internet Protocol (IP) address to help diagnose problems with our server and to track movement within this website.
We do not maintain a database of patient data that is being used in the pursuit of "harvesting patient data" for sale to third parties. In other words we are not asking users of this site to share their private, confidential data in order that we may collect said data and sell said data to third parties. Third parties might include rehabilitation facilities, patient recruitment firms, medical entities conducting studies, drug companies, advertisers, etc. We are interested in survivor advocacy and peer support, not in selling information about people in our brain injury community to third parties with business concerns.
All other information, including your comments, feedback, inquiries, or other materials submitted by you to this website, shall be considered non-confidential and the Brain Injury Network's property. The Brain Injury Network shall be free to use such comments, feedback, information or materials on an unrestricted basis.

If and when we ever offer a registration mechanism to visitors to this side, the Brain Injury Network may use “cookies” to enhance your utilization of our site.
